I am a queer, non-binary therapist located in Portland, Oregon (they/them pronouns). I was born and raised in Oregon and have lived in Portland since 2013. I love the PNW and plan to call this place home for a very long time. I love what I do!! I have a deep passion for helping people and feel so honored to be able to support and witness my clients' stories and growth. I offer virtually-only therapy to teenagers and adults of all identities and backgrounds, who are located anywhere in the state of Oregon. It is one of my favorite parts about being virtual, I get to reach more people, even if they don't happen to live in the same city where I live and have my practice. Therapy to me is about connection and the relationship I have with each of my clients; it is the foundation of healing and change.
Being that connection is so important to my therapy practice I would like to offer some of my story. I grew up in a Christian environment, very religious and spiritual. My coming out process was challenging and has taken many years of self-honesty, self-acceptance and bravery. I have been fortunate enough to have been introduced to plant medicines, which have greatly aided me, in so many ways, in my healing journey. I have been able to gain deeper wisdom about myself, the universe and the connection between all living things. In one of these experiences I was also able to heal many of my childhood wounds and depression that were very negatively impacting all areas of my life. Since that time I tell almost everyone I meet about my incredible experiences with plant medicine and have been able to support clients in my therapy practice with integrating their own experiences into their everyday lives. Time after time I get to witness clients go from (sometimes immense) suffering and pain in their lives, to deep and lasting healing, which we work together on to ensure that the lessons are applied and stick.
